CHICAGO (WGN) — A sixth grader from Central Illinois just won some very cool bragging rights. Andrea Rebong beat out thousands of other students to win Southwest Airlines’ national tie design contest. The Macon County sixth-grader said she was inspired while participating in the Adopt-a-Pilot program at her school. Pilots across the country volunteer throughout the year to teach students about aviation and STEM activities.

A vote on the change could happen as early as Wednesday. SELIGMAN, AZ (AZFamily) — Investigators say a dog named Buford helped lead a toddler to safety hours after he walked away from his home in Seligman. According to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, 2-year-old Boden Allen left his home near Agave Way and Jolly Road in Seligman on Monday. After the child was reported missing, a YCSO spokesperson said over 40 volunteers, several deputies and DPS troopers searched through Monday evening and into the night hours.
