"I had the first and I have the largest batch of Dutch Spotted Sheep in North America," said MKVT farm owner Mark Rodgers. Rodgers first saw the Spotties in 2023 and decided they were too cute to pass up. "In 2023, we got eight embryos from the United Kingdom and implanted them," Rodgers said.

Officials say one house was engulfed in flames, with two neighboring houses smoking, and nearly on fire. One victim was reported on the scene, who officials say managed to flee the house while it was still on fire.

On Friday, Vermont's wildfire danger was moderate to high. As it starts to warm up, fire officials remind people that we are in peak fire season. "Fires can spread extraordinarily fast, especially if they're unattended," said Hinesburg Fire Department Chief Prescott Nadeau. Right now, Vermont and New York are in what's called pre-green. That's when dead grass, leaves and twigs can become dry due to multiple factors, such as sunshine, wind, low humidity, and warmer temperatures.
