MacFarlane will get to Northwestern the weekend of May 30th, Indiana the weekend of June 6th, and Mizzou the weekend of June 20th. A 6-foot-5, 215-pound rising senior, MacFarlane is expected to choose between those schools following his officials.

Tigers dip into Missouri for an athletic pass-catcher. Memphis has received a commitment from Columbia (Mo.) Rock Bridge tight end Garrett Essner. Essner has fantastic size at 6-foot-6, 247 pounds and caught 38 passes for 536 yards and seven touchdowns as a junior. He was an All-State selection and also carries a 3.7 GPA. He chooses the Tigers over 13 total offers. Army, UNLV, USF, Kent State and others were also on his list. Memphis now has four commits in their 2026 class.
