    Michigan has had a good amount of recruiting success in the "DMV" (Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia) region and is back at it in the 2026 class. One of the best prospects in that area this year is Gonzaga College (Washington D.C.) defensive end Carter Meadows, a spring 6-foot-6, 215-pound edge rusher with a basketball background whose length and upside are not far removed from current Wolverine Derrick Moore, who had a similar profile and is from the same part of the country.

He says he will visit Miami (Ohio) on Sunday, then Houston on Monday and Tuesday, then Colorado next Tuesday and Wednesday. The Cougars and Buffaloes offered on Wednesday. "I had a great time at Miami," King said.

    When Derrick Harmon ran a 4.95 time on his second 40-yard-dash attempt Feb. 27 at the 2025 NFL Combine, NFL Network's Rich Eisen let out a "my goodness."Kevin Rogers, who was the coach at Detroit Loyola during Harmon's senior season, had a different reaction. "I thought he would run faster," Rogers said. Harmon agreed. "I was trying to get to a 4.8," he told NFL Network after his run, "but I'll take the 4.95." The 6-foot-4 1/2, 313-pound Harmon also clocked a 1.74-second 10-yard split.
