Music can often be a great source of healing. The Perry Community School District bands joined forces to premiere “A Mere Moment: Bolero in Remembrance" on Monday, April 7, pulling together a still-healing community at the Perry Performing Arts Center. The Iowa Bandmasters Association commissioned the custom piece as a tribute to the memories of Perry student Ahmir Jolliff and Perry High School Principal Dan Marburger, who were killed in the Jan. 4, 2024, shooting at Perry High School.
