MARIE, Mich. - The Lake Superior State (LSSU) volleyball team (8-21, 5-13 GLIAC) came away with a thrilling five-set win over the Michigan Tech Huskies (13-15, 9-8 GLIAC) to play their way into the GLIAC tournament. The Huskies came out swinging, jumping out to a 5-2 lead in the opening set, but the Lakers fought back with runs of 5-1 and 4-1 behind multiple kills from senior Emilee McDaniel (Manistique, Mich.).

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - The Lake Superior State (LSSU) volleyball team (7-21, 4-13 GLIAC) fell to the Northern Michigan Wildcats (NMU) (12-16, 9-8 GLIAC) in a hard-fought four-set match on Friday. Both teams battled early in the opening period on their way to a 6-6 tie, but the Wildcats were able to use a 3-0 scoring spurt to pull ahead. The Lakers answered with a 4-0 run to tie up the score at 11-11 with kills from Valeriya Varnakova (Ufa, Russia) and Mariana Velasque (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil).

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - The Lake Superior State (LSSU) volleyball team (7-19, 4-11 GLIAC) came back to defeat the Wisconsin-Parkside Rangers (16-10, 10-5 GLIAC) in five sets on Friday. Both teams battled early in the opening set, but the Lakers were able to pull ahead with an 8-1 run. Maggie Morris (Schoolcraft, Mich.) would then propel her team to another run of 4-1 with a pair of kills and a service ace to extend LSSU's lead to ten points.

HAMMOND, Ind. - The Lake Superior State (LSSU) volleyball team (6-14, 3-6 GLIAC) split a pair of contests as they fell in a thrilling five-set match to the Southwest Baptist Bearcats (10-10, 1-5 GLVC) before defeating the Lake Erie Storm (3-18, 2-8 G-MAC) by a score of 3-1 in the final day of the Midwest Crossover on Saturday.
