The youth judged eight classes of livestock including sheep, goats, cattle, and swine, answered questions regarding two classes, and Sr. High youth gave reasons. The contest included over 300 youth participants from over 20 different counties.

We have a few families here in Overton County that raise show pigs and their accolades are stacking up. The Burr and Holt families each had their kids participate in the recent Central Region and State Junior Swine Shows held at Hyder-Burkes Pavilion in Cookeville, TN. All three youth brought home top honors.
