Friday kicks off with normal drive times for morning commuters. A crash was reported in Ankeny along I-35 around 6:15 a.m. Vehicles and emergency responders blocked the southbound left shoulder as emergency vehicles assisted the drivers. As of 6:30 a.m., the Iowa Department of Transportation is not reporting any incidents in and around the metro. Drive times are normal for the time being. Like yesterday, emergency repairs remain in place along IA 92 down in Oskaloosa. The westbound right lane is blocked at S 11th Street. Around 6:45 this morning, the Iowa Department of Transportation reported a multi-vehicle crash along I-35 near Huxley and Cambridge. That crash is in the southbound lanes right after E 1st Street. Emergency vehicles are on scene directing traffic. The right lane is blocked, slowing traffic significantly. Down in Oskaloosa, emergency repairs are happening along IA 92 at S 11th Street. The westbound right lane is blocked as those repairs take place.

As of 6:30 a.m., the Iowa Department of Transportation is not reporting any incidents or delays on roads in Central Iowa. 35/80 Construction ClosuresNew closures on some 35/80 ramps are officially closed this morning, including the Northbound entrance ramp at Hickman Road and the Northbound exit ramp at Douglas Avenue. A detour is in place for both closures. Drivers should expect slight delays in the area as those closures remain in effect until August.
