ATTLEBORO, MASS. (WHDH) - Everyone inside a triple decker in Attleboro is safe from a fire thanks to the fast actions of a neighbor and his co-workers. “We saw the fire, and we just knew we had to move quick,” said Omar Jasseh, who helped save the children. Jasseh was on his way to work Wednesday when they saw the flames. “We grabbed, I believe five or six kids who were all downstairs, and then we banged on the doors, moved the cars,” said Jasseh. The building was left with significant damage.

A Salem nurse was traveling in Thailand with friends when she got into a devastating ATV crash. Sierra Fairhurst, 23, suffered several injuries. 7NEWS spoke with Fairhurst’s mother, Zoe, while she waited to board a flight to Thailand. “She had a broken wrist, a broken clavicle, clearly severe facial injuries, no teeth, an eyelid that’s absent, and that she had a small brain bleed,” said Zoe. Zoe says she didn’t have a passport when her daughter got hurt.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio (AP) — A school bus driver safely evacuated 15 students after the vehicle caught fire while headed to school in a Cleveland suburb, getting the children out moments before the bus became engulfed in flames in a residential area. No injuries were reported in Thursday morning’s fire in Cleveland Heights, which was quickly brought under control by firefighters.
