Anthony Pavia remembers Michael Boccuzzi as having something of a devilish air about him. Pavia, a Stamford native and former principal of Stamford, New Canaan and Trinity high schools, interviewed Boccuzzi in the early 1990s, about his service in World War II. GREENWICH — The Flinn Gallery at the Greenwich Library hosted an opening reception for the exhibit "Biophilia" on Thursday evening. "Biophilia" features the work of six artists: Carol Bouyoucos, Loren Eiferman, Julie Evans, Heide Follin, Christina Massey, and Sui Park. Curated by Ellen Hawley, the show explores the concept of biophilia, a term coined by Harvard naturalist Edward O. Wilson, referring to humanity’s intrinsic affinity for nature and life.

Tuesday is Halloween, and, right on schedule, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration is issuing its annual warning to not eat too much black licorice. According to the FDA, for those 40 or older, eating 2 ounces of black licorice a day for at least two weeks could land you in the hospital with an irregular heart rhythm or arrhythmia. So Justified City Primeaval made me sit through almost eight episodes of a show that was just ok, only to give me the show I really wanted in the last 10 minutes? I feel played.
