CONCORD, N.H.— Two New Hampshire hospital systems and the New Hampshire Hospital Association are suing the state over a hospital tax due Tuesday. The groups are challenging the Medicaid Enhancement Tax, which helps the state secure matching federal funds to support its Medicaid program, according to the New Hampshire Hospital Association. The tax is expected to generate $348 million in revenue. The funds could be in jeopardy in the future if the tax is deemed unconstitutional.
