NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - After a nice weekend, the humidity will start to creep back in slowly... and so do storm chances. We’ll see another morning filled with 60s and 70s on Monday. Highs return to the upper 80s, and the humidity will also rise slightly. But it won’t be as muggy as the second half of the week will be. You may notice a haze in the sky on Monday. Canadian wildfire smoke has been brought in by upper-level winds.

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The nice weather continues for Sunday, the first day of June. But the heat and humidity quickly return. Expect Sunday to start nice with lows in the 60s to around 70 degrees. Highs will return to the mid to upper 80s. An upper-level disturbance will move in and spark a few isolated showers and storms - around a 20% chance. The humidity returns by Monday, and highs will heat to the upper 80s and lower 90s most of the week.

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - We’re finally on the last day of this week’s stormy pattern. A weak cold front arrives later today, bringing chances for rain and storms before drier air arrives for the weekend. Showers and storms will arrive this afternoon and linger through this evening until the front passes. There’s an isolated severe storm threat. Slightly lower humidity arrives for Saturday and Sunday. This won’t be like the dry feel we get in early spring, but you’ll notice a difference.

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Expect another round of stronger storms with a cold front sweeping rain chances out for the weekend. Morning rain will make for a slick commute. But with a brief lull and a little sunshine, scattered storms will pop up again this afternoon. The chances will be higher for the south shore. A few of the storms could carry large hail, damaging winds, and isolated street flooding. A cold front will move in from the north on Friday.

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - We’re in the middle of an active storm pattern. Expect more storms later today and multiple rounds still to come through Friday. After a quiet morning commute, storms will arrive this afternoon and linger through this evening. While the severe risk is low, these storms will be moving through the hottest part of the day, which could fuel a damaging wind, hail, and isolated flood threat. Another complex of storms will move through on Thursday.
