Milwaukee police were at two crimes Friday evening on Hampton Avenue: 47th Street and Hampton Avenue and 69th Street and Hampton Avenue. WISN 12 News reporter James Stratton said that witnesses at the 69th Street and Hampton Avenue scene told him they heard five or six gunshots. He saw a lying in the street with a tarp over him and a police K-9 searching the median area.

Shelia Stubbs of Madison said she plans to introduce her bill to create the task force for the third time.Sade Robinson's mother, Sheena Scarbrough, has publicly pushed for the task force.A Columbia University study found Black women were 20 times more likely to be murdered in Wisconsin than white women were.

In addition to the criminal case, Sade Robinson's family has an existing civil suit against Maxwell Anderson, as well as one of the places he and Robinson visited on the first date last year.That civil case is making its way through the legal system but could pick up momentum with the result of the criminal case.Robinson's mother, Sheena Scarborough, filed a wrongful death suit against Anderson and the Twisted Fisherman, one of locations the two went to on April 1, 2024.
