CORNELIUS, Ore. — Two of the three children found dead in a Cornelius home were students at Cornelius Elementary School, the Forest Grove School District confirmed Wednesday. The bodies of the three children — ages 2, 5 and 7 — and their 37-year-old mother were all found Tuesday afternoon in an outbuilding connected to a home near the 300 block of North 15th Avenue, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office. Their identities have not been released.

PORTLAND, Ore. — A Multnomah County judge sentenced a man in connection with shooting his partner in the neck and leaving her body in a Northwest Portland park in 2022. On Tuesday, Jake Phillips, 40, was found guilty of second-degree murder with a firearm and unlawful use of a firearm, both constituting as domestic violence, according to the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office. PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland Public Schools (PPS) is under investigation by the U.S. Department of Education for allegedly violating Title IX by allowing a trans athlete to compete in a girls' track and field competition.
