PORTLAND, Ore. — A second asylum seeker in Oregon has been detained using the same playbook as with a transgender woman seeking asylum's immediate arrest outside a Portland courtroom after an immigration hearing. The Innovation Law Lab has filed another habeas corpus petition, challenging the Thursday arrest of a 24-year-old man identified only as Y-Z-L-H. According to court documents, Y-Z-L-H came to the U.S. in 2023 after an infamous cartel, La Familia Michoacana, threatened to kill him.

PORTLAND, Ore. — A man has been hospitalized after he was injured in a shooting with a Multnomah County deputy Friday evening, according to Portland police. The incident took place in the 4600 block of Northeast 116th Avenue around 5:07 p.m. The Portland Police Bureau (PPB) only stated that a "Multnomah County deputy-involved shooting" had occurred in the Parkrose neighborhood and that a man had been transported to the hospital with injuries.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Police have arrested a Gresham High School teacher and indicted him on child sex-related charges after an undercover online sting. Last December, the Portland Police Bureau (PPB) was notified by the Bothell Police Department in Washington that a Portland man had been identified during an undercover sting operation.
