    CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi Regional Economic Development Corporation President and CEO Mike Culbertson announced his retirement from the organization at Thursday's board meeting. Culbertson will stay on with the group for at least two months until a new CEO is found. Recent board appointee Roland Barrera said he enjoyed working with Culbertson. "I know one of the things I really liked about Mike Culbertson, being a CPA, is he was a good reporter," he said.

    CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A funeral and visitation was held Thursday for longtime Corpus Christi activist Jack Gordy, who died March 27. He was 88. A former member of the Corpus Christi Taxpayers Association, Gordy was a staple at city council meetings, even running for a seat in 1983 and again in 2014, the latter he lost to Lucy Rubio, who won 72 percent of the vote.

If so, you might have information that can help the Corpus Christi Police Department understand how 68-year-old Armando Bosquez was hit by a car and left to be found on the side of the highway the following day. Police believe Bosquez was hit in the 3800 block of Hwy. 69, and are looking for anyone who might have seen anything that night pertaining to Bosquez's death.
