In a statement released Friday afternoon, the district said it aims to have her replacement hired before the new school year. Marshall is a Corpus Christi native, having graduated from Ray High School in 1973. During her time as a Texan, she played tennis, one of only two sports options for girls. CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Murder suspect Drew Anthony Davis had his bond revoked and reset Tuesday after being seen on TikTok holding a gun, a violation of his bond conditions. Davis is being tried as an adult in the 2024 murder of 17-year-old Gabriel Campos III. His bond was adjusted last month. "I'm going to reduce his bond down to $200,000," Judge Jack Pulcher said in April.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — One local library currently has no chill. That's why the Ben F. McDonald Library on Greenwood Drive will be closed from Saturday through May 7. City officials said the closure come after a control board was damaged in the the building’s chiller system, which caused a transformer failure. The power outage occurred last Wednesday, and led to indoor temperatures nearing 90 degrees. Library users are encouraged to visit other branches during the closure.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Anyone who was excited to see the new Harbor Bridge ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 10 will have to wait a little longer. TxDOT announced Friday that the ribbon-cutting ceremony has been postponed because of "unexpected construction delays." “TxDOT has postponed the ribbon cutting for the New Harbor Bridge, which was planned for May 10, to more closely coincide with the anticipated public opening of the bridge," a news release states.
