KRIS-TV is the NBC-affiliated station serving the Corpus Christi region in South Texas. It transmits a high-definition digital signal on VHF channel 13 from a transmitter located in Robstown. The station is owned by Cordillera Communications, a subsidiary of Evening Post Industries. KRIS-TV shares its ownership with several other stations, including the low-power Independent K22JA-D, the Telemundo affiliate K68DJ, and CBS affiliate KZTV, which is owned by SagamoreHill Broadcasting but operated by Cordillera under a shared services agreement. All four stations are based in studios on Artesian Street in Downtown Corpus Christi. Some popular syndicated shows aired on KRIS-TV include Inside Edition, Steve Harvey, Ellen, and Jeopardy!.

Their next goal is to send an athlete to the AAU Junior Olympics, and they have athletes in the rankings to qualify. "My goal is to go to the Junior Olympics," said 7-year-old Bryelle Williams. Williams is one of 203 kids in the South Texas Speed Track Club. She began running when she was 3-years-old. Williams competes in the 100, 200 and now 400 meters.
