A petition to bring routes back to Stewart International Airport in Newburgh is gaining the attention of many New Yorkers. Eric Planey dreams of a day when he can avoid the long drive to Newark or JFK in order to catch a plane to Chicago, and apparently, he's not alone. The Hudson Valley man has formed a petition at Change.org a few days ago and has already gained almost 600 signatures from others who are frustrated about the lack of flights from Newburgh.

New York State has deployed 30 speed cameras this week in an effort to catch unsuspecting drivers who are breaking the law. As the sun begins to shine and the weather warms up, the New York State Department of Transportation is back out in full force. Now, that number may be smaller as the federal government will be taking away some of those payouts starting this month.

A location that's become a revolving door for local businesses has some wondering if the storefront is actually cursed. This week, another shop has announced that it will be closing its doors in Rhinebeck, New York. While it's not uncommon for stores to close, this particular vacancy has raised some eyebrows because of its location. The Kingston-based market, Cheese Louise, announced two years ago that they would be opening up a second location in Rhinebeck, New York.

Today’s @nytimes Strands is deeply flawed. There are two spangrams and they chose the wrong one. It doesn’t fit all of the other answers.
