Volunteers spent Saturday morning beautifying the warehouse district in Albany. The cidery provided tools and supplies to everyone who volunteered. Nine Pin’s co-owner says it is important to commit to sustainability and help the local environment.

More than 140 students came to UAlbany for the first-ever SUNY E-Sports Tournament. Players from 13 different schools faced off in a variety of games, like Valorant, Rocket League, Marvel Rivals, and Overwatch. Saturday was the finals for each of these video games. The semi-finals were on Friday. The tournament was held in UAlbany’s computer science building.

Law enforcement is cracking down on people who may be driving high on 4/20. Agencies across the state are taking part in the 4/20 Stop DWI Day. Officers are pushing the message that just because marijuana is legal in New York, does not mean it is safe to drive while under its influence. Those who are celebrating 4/20 are urged to celebrate responsibly, without driving high, and plan a sober ride. The enforcement period runs through Monday, April 21.

Fire crews responded to a brush fire in Buskirk that they say was caused by a malfunctioning train wheel. Firefighters from Pittstown and Buskirk responded to the train trestle by Turnpike Road at about 1:30 p.m. Friday.

Pittsfield Police arrested a man who they say displayed a gun during a domestic dispute. The Berkshire Eagle is reporting that 45-year-old Terrell Ortiz is charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon. Wednesday night, police say Ortiz attacked the victim with his hands but also had a gun with him. He was later arrested near his home on Francis Avenue. The gun was later found in his driveway. Investigators say the gun was stolen out of Clarksburg in 2017.
