    The 2025 Spalding Flower Parade is almost upon us — with thousands of visitors set to enjoy the town’s showpiece event. This year’s volunteer-run parade begins and ends at Springfields Exhibition Centre in Camel Gate — with the Castle site out of action due to a pending revamp — and the floats are set to get rolling from 11am today (May 10). Forecasters are predicting plenty of sunshine, with the Met Office suggesting temperatures could top 20C by the time the event is in full swing.

    A crash involving ‘multiple vehicles’ took place near a busy junction this evening. Police say that roads around the junction of Main Road in Denton and the A607 are set to be closed following a collision. The incident was reported to the police at 5.16pm today (Friday May 9).     Police believe a tractor driver could have key information about a crash on the A52 earlier today. Officers want to hear from any witnesses who saw a two-vehicle collision on the A52 just before 10.55am today at the Allington Lane junction, between Sedgebrook and Grantham. One lane was closed on the A52 for several hours after the crash while the scene was cleared.
