A road has been closed after a ‘serious collision’ in the early hours of this morning (June 20). Police say Green Lane is shut at the Toll Bar Road junction in Marston near Grantham as a result of an incident. The crash was reported at 1.46am. Patients and visitors will be asked to fork out more for parking at a trio of hospitals — with some fees set to more than double. Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group has announced an increase to car parking charges for patients and visitors to Grantham, Boston and Lincoln hospitals. While a half-hour visit will still be free, the ‘up to one hour’ charge will jump from £1 to £2. The price for ‘up to four hours’ is set to jump from £2 to £5.

Telecoms bosses have called for action over an ‘alarming surge’ in robberies after a raid on a town phone shop. Vodafone says the incident at its store in Stamford’s High Street — in which two masked men forced staff to hand over thousands of pounds worth of stock — is the latest in a worrying trend of violence for the industry. The three staff at the store at the time are said to have been unharmed and have been offered support by the company and the franchisee.

Two masked men forced staff to hand over thousands of pounds worth of stock in a robbery at a town phone shop. Police say the raid took place at the Vodafone store in Stamford’s High Street this lunch time (Friday, June 13). Officers want help from the public to try to catch the culprits and are on the scene this afternoon conducting inquiries.
