    A woman who was involved in a crash between two buses and a fire engine, remains in ‘critical condition’ – nearly a week on from a major incident. A 44-year-old from Gedney Hill, sustained ‘serious injuries’, and was one of the 11 passengers taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge last Thursday (April 17). Police attended the collision on the B1050 Station Road in Cambridgeshire, at about 2pm.

    Vandals have already damaged newly planted trees and covered a new bridge with graffiti. The popular dog walking route under Spalding’s Western Relief Road project has been targeted just four months after opening. Although motorists will not be able to use the main bridge until at least 2030 – when the southern section of road is built by Lincolnshire County Council – the long-awaited opening of Two Plank Bridge in December last year, has meant residents can easily walk from Spalding to Pinchbeck.

    An garage worker who crashed her car while more than twice the drink drive limit faces losing the licence that allows her to sell alcohol. Leanne Robbins drove her car into a wall off Uppingham Road in Caldecott in the early hours of February 13, after she had been drinking and decided to go to buy cigarettes. Robbins, failed a roadside breath test and at a police station was found to have 98 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35.

    Roadworks which have been causing a nightmare for motorists are set to go on a little longer due to a burst water main. Pinchbeck Road, in Spalding, was due to open today (April 22) after multi-way signals were installed three weeks ago. The roadworks, which are being carried out by Cadent, have been delayed and motorists are set to face even more disruption – as the school Easter holidays come to an end.
