    Recovery high schools have become a key setting supporting the adolescent recovery process over the last fifty years. This book provides the first major historical account of the recovery high school movement from its beginnings in the alternative schools of the 1970s that overlapped with the first adolescent substance use treatment programs. Our understanding of recovery high schools has evolved along with our understanding of addiction and recovery.

As the 2024-2025 school year begins, we at Preaching Today want to take a look back at the 2023-2024 school year and the winners of the 2024 Preaching Today Biblical Preaching Award. It is our pleasure to partner with four amazing schools and to present this annual award to one student from each school. These preachers stood out from among their peers. This award is given to a student who exhibits biblical preaching applied to everyday life.

    A federal district court in Texas ruled on the merits that the FTC does not have statutory authority to promulgate the Non-Compete Clause Rule and that the rule is arbitrary and capricious. As a consequence, the court set aside the rule under the Administrative Procedure Act and ordered that it “shall not be enforced or otherwise take effect.” The order is nationwide in scope and not party-specific. Two other challenges to the rule are pending in other district courts.
