    MOUNT HOPE, WV (WVNS) — A Raleigh County man was sentenced for a federal drug crime that involved methamphetamine. According to a press release, on Friday, May 9, 2025, 28-year-old Devin I. Cresce, of Beckley, was sentenced to seven years and eleven months in prison, followed by four years of parole, for distribution of 50 grams or more of a mixture and substance containing methamphetamine.

According to a press release from the Beckley Detachment of the West Virginia State Police, the DUI checkpoint will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. on Friday, May 16, 2025 in the Glen Daniel area of Raleigh County at the WV Route 3 and WV Route 99 intersection.

It’s about those moments that make people say, ‘I didn’t expect this,’ whether they’re catching a bluegrass show downtown or standing at the base of a waterfall.
