Andrew Hodge was last seen on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, in the town of Cardenden. The 61-year-old, who is heavily tattooed, was in the town's Main Street when he was last spotted.

The Martin Luther King Jr. Day parade through Nacogdoches on Monday is the continuation of a series of marches that date back to the Civil Rights Movement, when taking a stand for equality was fraught with danger. The first civil rights march in Nacogdoches took place in 1967, a year before King was assassinated and two years after 600 peaceful protesters were beaten and gassed in Selma, Alabama. “I marched because I knew that there were people who couldn’t,” said the Rev. Sub-freezing temperatures ushered in by a cold front this weekend might bring up to three inches of snow beginning Monday night. Temperatures in Nacogdoches County will drop over the weekend and overnight lows will remain below freezing as arctic air makes its way south across the United States. The forecast released Friday by the National Weather Service shows a 30% chance of up to an inch of snow beginning Monday night and continuing through the day Tuesday.

Nacogdoches County Republican Women are funding a new scholarship for a high school junior to attend a conservative leadership conference this summer. The National Leadership Congress is a week-long program held from July 27 through Aug. 2 in Fredericksburg by the conservative organization Patriot Academy. Students from the ages of 16 to 25 participate in a mock legislative session paired with leadership training and visits from nationally-recognized conservative speakers.
