A Nacogdoches County woman is recovering in a hospital after being burned in a fire on Memorial Day. The 21-year-old was taken to a burn unit in Galveston after the fire Monday afternoon, Sheriff Jason Bridges said. “I understand she has some nerve damage,” Bridges said Wednesday. The fire was reported shortly before 4:30 p.m. Monday in the 200 block of County Road 200 between Nacogdoches and Appleby. “Half the house was burned down.
