The history-rich tradition, called the Conclave, will ultimately result in the naming of a new pope. Much of the conclave is shrouded in secrecy because, as experts explain, the Catholic Church doesn’t view this process as just voting. Instead, it is understood as the Holy Spirit moving through the cardinals to select the leader of the church.

In March, Hamby was charged with theft by taking and financial transaction card fraud. After his arrest, we wanted to know why. We asked the city and the GBI, but neither could say. WJCL 22 Investigates began requesting emails, credit card statements, and other documents from Guyton. What we found helped paint a picture of what Hamby is accused of.

    Officials with the Savannah Fire Department say their crews were able to knock out a large shed fire at a homeless shelter, within minutes of arriving. The blaze broke out just before 7 p.m. Sunday at the Inner City Night Shelter on Arnold Street, near President Street.An SFD spokesperson says no one was injured in the fire, and the shelter has not been affected.
