I must admit that I like my superheroes. Superman, Spider-Man and Batman represent the big three superheroes among teenage boys. For me, it all started with comic books — Marvel Comic books, to be exact. As a kid growing up in Nitro, I would save my hard-earned money and head to Ben Franklin’s Five & Dime to get my favorite superhero comic books. Ironically, he also receives a substantial bonus of $75,000 if the Tar Heels make the tournament.

We hold these holidays, full of religious and family traditions, in the highest regard. Others look at Thanksgiving as a time of giving thanks to God for all that He has blessed us with — the center of which is our family.
