It has been just over three decades since Disney first graced Broadway with a stage version of “Beauty and the Beast.” Disney on Broadway has since continued to soar, with theatrical adaptations of “The Lion King,” “Mary Poppins,” “Newsies,” “Aladdin” and other beloved musicals.

The Tony Awards administration committee met on April 10 to confirm the eligibility status of eight Broadway productions that have opened during the 2024-2025 season.
