Rian Johnson's explosive track season continued with more fireworks May 23 during the first day of the MPSSAA Class 3A state championships at the Prince George's Sports & Learning Complex. The North Hagerstown senior won the girls 3,200-meter run in 10:25.74 for the No. 5 performance in the history of the state meet. She also broke her own Washington County record in the event by more than 5 seconds and, most importantly, captured the first state title of her career.
