    The Art Association of Jacksonville's annual Art in the Yard event will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the association's David Strawn Art Gallery. This year's art projects will center on Jacksonville' bicentennial and celebrate such "mainstays, institutions and traditions" as the Big Eli Ferris wheel, Jacksonville Farmers Market, Jacksonville Speedway and Illinois College, according to the association. Admission is $5 per child, and children must be accompanied by an adult.

    A garden walk sponsored by Centenary United Women in Faith's Hope Circle will be from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at six diverse gardens around Jacksonville. The suggested donation of $10 a person will be used by the circle to fund missions. Participants can tour the gardens in any order, and tickets are available the day of the walk at any of the sites.
