Campus protests shouldn't ruin college experience for othersAs a parent of a graduating student at Washington University in St. Louis, I am addressing the organizers of the recent protests on campus. I understand and believe in your right to protest and have your voices heard on these issues. ("Washington University faculty placed on leave, students ‘houseless’ after Gaza protest," April 30.)My request is that you do not disturb my daughter's ability to enjoy this major milestone in her life.

Erwin couple Martha and Rob Stromberg have been awarded the annual Walter B. Garland Historical Award by the Unicoi County Historical Society. The Strombergs received the award at the society’s yearly Christmas banquet and award ceremony held in December. The couple received the award for their devotion to preserving the valuable memories and history of Unicoi County. The Strombergs are no strangers to devotion, having been married for 53 years with three children and eight grandchildren.
