Salesforce Chat, a formerly integral tool for customer service teams, is set to be retired in February 2026. The retirement will include the farewell to all the legacy Chat products, including LiveAgent, Salesforce Chat, Embedded Chat, and Service Chat across numerous Salesforce editions. Salesforce Chat (which was previously known as “Salesforce Live Agent”), is a native tool that enables customer service teams to chat to customers in real-time. This year’s Dreamforce is set to kick off in September – and as we inch closer to it, Salesforce has opened its “Call for Speakers”. The admin and developer tracks are essentially a platform for professionals to deliver and consume quality content that will help them with their respective roles. If you wish to present your content you can now register your interest – the Dreamforce Call for Participation will remain open until 5pm (PST) on June 6.

Although Salesforce has been on an M&A (mergers and acquisitions) hiatus over the past year, it didn’t stop them from acquiring Spiff towards the end of 2023. Before being acquired, Spiff was an AppExchange partner that provided incentive compensation management functionality, which in simpler terms, means calculating commission/compensation for sales based on closed-won deals. Last week, Salesforce announced that “Salesforce Spiff”, as it has been renamed, is now available as part of Sales Cloud.

In a recent announcement, Salesforce has revealed that Workflow Rules and Process Builder will no longer be supported after December 31, 2025. Salesforce is urging users to migrate their automation processes to Flow Builder before the deadline to ensure uninterrupted support and access to bug fixes. This move comes as Salesforce aims to shift its focus towards a more modern, extensible, low-code automation solution: Flow Builder.
