INDIANAPOLIS — Here's some encouraging news in the work to save Hoosier lives through organ donation: Indiana recorded a record number of organ transplants last year at 1,134. That's up 17% over the prior year, according to the Indiana Donor Network. The organization says the organ transplants led to 989 lives saved in 2023. It's important to know that despite your age or medical history, anyone can sign up to be an organ donor. One organ donor can save eight lives.
