ROCKCASTLE COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - A head-on crash in Rockcastle County claimed the life of one young adult. Two teenagers were also taken to the hospital as a result. PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - A Bronston man is behind bars after police say he was trafficking drugs. The incident occurred early Wednesday morning. Deputies with the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office were roaming the area of Highway 914 in Somerset when they noticed that someone driving a motorcycle crossed the fog line of the roadway. After pulling the motorcycle over, the man was identified as Ryan Anderson, 41.

PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - A Clinton County man and woman are facing charges after police found a handgun on them during a traffic stop. The incident happened at approximately 10:39 p.m. on Thursday, April 10. Deputies with the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office were patrolling U.S. 27 in the Science Hill area when they pulled a vehicle over. When police searched the vehicle, they found a handgun in the back pocket of the driver’s seat.

BELL COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - A Harrogate man is facing charges after police said he fired a gun in someone’s vicinity in Bell County. Kentucky State Police troopers received calls about the incident on Sunday, April 6. They said the calls were in reference to Brandon Brooks, 45, who was accused of acting recklessly with a gun on Jenson Hollow Right Road. According to an arrest citation, police said they could not find Brooks or his girlfriend when they arrived on scene.

FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - The defense attorney for one of the men charged in connection with the death of Amber Spradlin argued for a speedy jury trial. In the response filed by Attorney Steve Romines on behalf of Michael “M.K.” McKinney Thursday, April 10, it said the “defense strenuously objects to the Commonwealth’s proposed timeline and reasoning for the delay.”Romines reiterated that the time spent in jail awaiting trial would have a detrimental impact on McKinney.
