WYMT-TV (Hazard, KY)
WYMT-TV, also known as channel 57, is a television station affiliated with CBS that serves the Eastern Mountain Coal Fields area in Kentucky. It is based in Hazard and transmits a high-definition digital signal on VHF channel 12 from a transmitter located just south of the city in Perry County. The station is owned by Gray Television and is a sibling station to WKYT-TV, which is CBS's affiliate in Lexington.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WYMT) - It is National Police Week, and lawmakers and law enforcement officers gathered in Washington D.C. to pay tribute to police officers who died in the line of duty. The candlelight vigil was held for the 24,412 officers engraved on the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial, 11 of whom served at the Perry County Sheriff’s Office. Chief Deputy Jason Duff with the Perry County Sheriff’s Office was at the vigil this year.

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - A joint drug investigation led to the seizure of over six ounces of methamphetamine and the arrest of a London man Tuesday afternoon. According to officials with the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, their narcotics and general investigation detectives, along with the DEA, executed a high-risk search warrant at a residence off Newt’s Way, about four miles south of London.

Dustin Fields is charged with arson in the house fire that killed his sons, 13-year-old Bentley and 15-year-old Rylan. The fire destroyed their home in Franklin County on April 30. RELATEDFields was in court Tuesday afternoon for a preliminary hearing, and his case was forwarded to a grand jury.
