JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT/Gray News) - A man facing charges in the abduction of two Louisiana children and killing one says he’s admitted to his crimes to authorities and deserves death. Daniel Callihan is being charged with capital murder and sexual battery, a day after he was arrested for abducting two girls from Louisiana and bringing them across state lines into Mississippi. An alleged accomplice in Thursday’s killings, Victoria Cox, was also arrested, according to Mississippi police.

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT/Gray News) - A former Mississippi police officer was fired after he filmed himself forcing an arrestee to lick his urine off the jail floor, officials say. WLBT reported that 26-year-old Michael Christian Green was a patrol officer with the Pearl Police Department when the incident happened on December 23, 2023. It all started when the detainee, identified as B.E. was arrested at Sam’s Club following a domestic incident.
