Iran’s cyber command ordered top officials and their security teams to avoid IT equipment connected to telecom networks in a sign they fear digital disruption from Israel. The news was reported by the Fars news agency on Tuesday, which is affiliated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, part of the Iranian army. Israel and Iran have clashed militarily since Israel launched Operation Rising Lion last Friday, targeting Tehran’s nuclear capabilities.

LUXEMBOURG — The European Union will work more closely with national militaries and the NATO defense alliance to respond to large-scale cyber attacks, national ministers decided on Friday. Ministers gathering in Luxembourg for a European Union meeting on telecom policy approved an update of the bloc's “cybersecurity blueprint” laying out Europe's response mechanisms to major cybersecurity incidents.

NATO defense ministers agreed Thursday to significantly increase air defenses and land forces to fend off Russia — and to dramatically raise military spending in the coming years to get there. The ministers approved an overall increase of 30 percent in new requirements for military equipment — called capability targets — ahead of a summit of alliance leaders in The Hague later this month.

Despite an agreement among major political families to adopt a report on progress the Balkan country has made on its path to EU accession, lawmakers Wednesday postponed the vote to the end of June.
