Key findings•We identified five subgroups of older people with different frailty progression patterns and associated risk of death. These subgroups had distinct patterns of frailty progression over four years based on the changes in electronic Frailty Index (eFI) score. AbstractIntersectional social determinants including ethnicity are vital in health research. We curated a population-wide data resource of self-identified ethnicity data from over 60 million individuals in England primary care, linking it to hospital records. We assessed ethnicity data in terms of completeness, consistency, and granularity and found one in ten individuals do not have ethnicity information recorded in primary care.

Key PointsQuestion What is the incidence, prevalence, and survival rates for prostate cancer from 2000 to 2021 using primary care data from the UK? Findings In this cohort study of 198 125 patients in 2 UK databases, the incidence of prostate cancer increased from 109 per 100 000 person-years in 2000 to 159 per 100 000 person-years in 2021. Prevalence increased from 0.4% in 2000 to 1.4% in 2021.
