Police cars and fire trucks packed the parking lot at Children’s Hospital at St. Mary’s Medical Center Wednesday night, but they weren’t there for an emergency. They were there to say goodnight to child abuse. Goodnight to Child Abuse is an annual event at the hospital where everyone involved in fighting against the crime. It takes place every year in April, which is child abuse awareness month. The event begins with local police and firefighters parking the vehicles outside the hospital.

Nicolle Pieth is now free on bond after being arrested Saturday night.
