A Boca Raton teenager who almost died last year met Friday with the medics who saved her life. Forty-year-old Celina and her mother, Barbara, just wanted to say thank you. The family has asked that their last names be kept confidential for privacy reasons. “Sept. 23,” Barbara said. “A day I will always remember.”Barbara told the story at a ceremony honoring the medics who saved Celina. “She didn’t eat her breakfast. A local organization that advocates for migrants was vandalized over the weekend, something officials there say is the latest in a long line of abuse. Employees found the damage when they arrived Saturday morning at the Guatemalan-Maya Center in Lake Worth. “We came out here and realized that we had been vandalized,” said Mariana Blanco, the Director of Operations at the center. Someone had spray-painted profanity on the side of the center.

Two Stuart residents were arrested Sunday, including a woman the Martin County Sheriff called one of the biggest drug dealers in Martin County history. Julianne Perez was arrested at her home on Nimrod Lane Sunday evening. Sheriff John Budensiek said she was known on the street as Candyman. “She could get anything, and I mean anything,” Budensiek said. “Fentanyl, primarily. She could get crystal methamphetamine.
