If you’re struggling to bleed the air out of your motorcycle’s brakes, particularly after you’ve introduced a bunch of the stuff while replacing a hose or rebuilding a caliper, then try reverse bleeding. It’s fast, and very effective. In reverse bleeding, you push brake fluid from the caliper up to the master cylinder, rather than pumping brake fluid down to the caliper.

Luckily, Harley-Davidson’s Factory Race Team and its MotoAmerica Mission King of the Baggers race bike are a reservoir of inspiration.

Pennsylvania forest whizzed by as Zack slid open windows in the back of the school bus. I set my palms in my father’s handprints on the Honda’s grips and drove my weight down against the engine’s compression, offering a few degrees of throttle as my foot plummeted on the kickstarter. The hollow sound of air moving lazily through cold cylinders. I kicked again, and a single bark shot from a reverse megaphone.
