This is my only mock draft of the year. It’s not based on what I think teams should do — it’s based on what I’m hearing around the league. No trades are included. The Titans fell in love with Cam Ward — and in their building, he's QB1 in this class. With a new stadium coming soon, the hope is that Ward becomes electric enough to sell out every game once it opens.

The NFL’s tampering window opened at noon Eastern on Monday, but the league didn’t wait until then to spend money. It’s been an active first unofficial day of free agency and we’re here to break down some winners and losers of the early movement on the market. It’s advantageous when a team can sign good players early. The Buffalo Bills made sure to do that before free agency opened. Buffalo signed linebacker Terrel Bernard to a four-year, $50 million extension with $25.2 million guaranteed.

The legal tampering NFL free agency period doesn't start until noon Eastern on Monday, but there's been early action while teams grab already-released veterans and re-sign their own players. With another huge influx of cap space granted this offseason, the spending numbers will undoubtedly leave us surprised. We've already seen some of the effects of a cap spike play out. However, not all of the surprising early NFL free-agency contracts are bad.
