Kolkata: Trinamool Congress (TMC) national secretary Abhishek Banerjee replaces cricketer-turned-politician Yusuf Pathan to represent TMC in the all-party delegation for India’s global outreach against terrorism. According to party leader Kunal Ghosh, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju had called Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee following which the Chief Minister had decided to send Abhishek to represent TMC in the all -party delegation.

Kolkata: Arrested Youtuber Jyoti Malhotra for espionage for Pakistan had also visited Kolkata and adjoining areas which are densely populated and also places that have major defence establishments. Sleuths from Haryana police have informed Bengal police the places which were visited by Jyoti during her stay in West Bengal. According to sources, apart from visiting various places in Kolkata, the arrested Youtuber had also visited Barrackpore and Siliguri.

Kolkata: Breaking the silence before leaving for North Bengal, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that more than sacked teachers, ‘outsiders’ are taking part in the protest which is being held by jobless teachers. “I am not against any protest but detaining someone forcibly is not good. I am empathetic towards the sacked teachers. The sacked teachers should keep faith in the state government. Every movement should have a boundary line,” said Mamata.
