Sian Gibson, from Mold, is best known for her collaboration with comedian Peter Kay in BAFTA Award winning series, Car Share. And it was that, she says, which led to her acting career getting back on track, having virtually given up on the dream.

At Ruthin County Hall on Tuesday (May 27), Assistant Coroner for North Wales (East & Central), Kate Robertson declared a total of 30 items as treasure at an inquest. The items were discovered across parts of north Wales back in 2022 and 2023. They were then examined by the Museum of Wales and, in some cases, the Portable Antiquities Scheme in Wales (PAS Cymru).

David Alfie Williams, of Dinas in Acrefair, appeared before Mold Crown Court for sentencing on Wednesday, May 28. The 28-year-old had previously pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal damage (to a window and a police vehicle), as well as one count of affray and one count of common assault of an emergency worker. Laura Knightley, prosecuting, told the court that incidents took place on December 22 of last year.

Deeside Round Table's car show in Hawarden was a success once again. (Image: DRT) A CAR SHOW held in Flintshire proved popular once more as it raised over £2,400 for good causes. Last year, the Deeside Round Table Car and Motor Show saw over 200 vehicles go on display. This time around, the free event returned to Gladstone Fields in Hawarden on Saturday, May 24, where double that amount of vehicles were showcased.
