    Sighing with exhaustion, I flopped onto the sofa next to my daughter Maisie, 25, and grandson as she put plates on the table in front of us, piled high with curry and rice. It was September 2021 and we'd spent all day gardening. Now, with Myles, four, quietly watching a TV programme we could finally switch off and relax. But as Maisie forked chicken tikka masala into her mouth, she suddenly fell back onto the sofa. Her eyes rolled back in her head and she let out a strange snorting sound.

    Happy National Newspaper Week!The week officially started Sunday and runs through Saturday, and we'll be celebrating all week in different ways, starting with this column. Here at The Sheridan Press — and for me personally — we celebrate newspapers in all forms every single day.
