SALT LAKE CITY — Police have issued an Amber Alert in the search for a baby believed to have been abducted by a woman in the Glendale neighborhood of Salt Lake City on Friday. Salt Lake police are searching for 32-year-old Holly Angelina Smith, who is white, 5-foot-4, weighs 100 pounds, and has brown hair and blue eyes. She was wearing black Adidas pants, a light-colored sweater and blue Vans sneakers, according to the alert.

Ogden Fire Chief Mike Mathieu said flames quickly devoured an under-construction apartment building Saturday afternoon as crews from the area sought to save nearby buildings, as wind blew embers from the blaze around the area. The same firefighters remained at the scene Sunday, hoping for a "quieter day," Mathieu said. No one has been injured, and they're "in good spirits" despite a long night in the cold weather.
