KSL Newsradio consists of two radio stations based in Salt Lake City, Utah: the original AM station KSL at 1160 kHz and the FM station KSL-FM at 102.7 MHz, which is licensed to Midvale. Both stations air an All-News format during important weekday hours and feature Talk programming at other times. They are owned by Bonneville International, a broadcasting arm of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The stations operate from the same studios as their sister television station, KSL-TV, located in the Broadcast House within the Triad Center in downtown Salt Lake City.

    INDIANAOLA, Sanpete County — Both directions of U.S. 89 were closed for a time on Thursday after a fatal crash involving a semitruck, according to the Sanpete Sheriff’s Office.     SALT LAKE CITY — Fire officials said 200 people were evacuated from the Salt Lake Metro Jail on Thursday after a fire broke out. According to officials on scene, a contractor was working on the HVAC system in the building at the time the flames began, which was sometime before noon on Thursday. Fire Chief Terry Addison with the South Salt Lake Fire Department said many fire departments responded to the scene. Addison made no mention of any possible injuries.

    SALT LAKE CITY — Police are investigating a shooting involving a 16-year-old boy Wednesday night. Josh Lee with the Riverton Police Department said the incident took place around 6:30 p.m. A 16-year-old boy and his 35-year-old uncle got into a “verbal argument” at a home near South Homestead Lane. Lee said the argument led the two to the front yard. At some point, the 16-year-old allegedly pulled out a handgun and shot the 35-year-old three times before fleeing the scene.
