The Crestwood Board of Aldermen gathered for a monthly meeting on Jan. 28, where the board approved an increase in daily admission fees for the Crestwood Aquatic Center and the purchase of a new patrol vehicle for the Crestwood Police Department. Swimmers at the Crestwood Aquatic Center will see their daily admission fees rise after the board approved an increase.

These days, John Fennell wakes up by 7 a.m. and has breakfast with Hilda, his wife. They make coffee and then head to the MKT Nature and Fitness Trail. He walks with Hilda one way and then runs back the other way. At one time, he would have run both ways, but John is 75 now and doesn’t do that as much anymore. At 10 or 11 a.m., John heads to his studio. He is one of 21 artists who work at Orr Street Studios. Floor-to-ceiling windows warm the space with light.

The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis and STAGES St. Louis are teaming up to present Million Dollar Quartet Christmas this winter. The jukebox musical will be at the Loretto-Hilton Center from December 4–22, marking the first collaboration of its kind between theaters. Although the show has “Christmas” in its name, STAGES artistic director Gayle Seay says the production is a celebration of all holidays.
