CADILLAC, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU)— The former Wexford County Jail is set to undergo a transformation as Cornerstone Ministries plans to revitalize the building into a church. The planning commission has approved a special land use permit for the project. Pastor Troy Baxter of Cornerstone Ministries said the existing structure will be preserved but renovated to include a chapel with over 100 seats, fellowship meeting space, classrooms, and a nursery. The church will also utilize the original jail kitchen.
