Competing against 67 other drivers in the asphalt rally on Sunday, she achieved an impressive average speed of 108.5 km/h. The two-day Rallye Du Centre Alsace covered a total distance of 306.11 km.

All 10 Formula One teams complied with the cost cap for the second year in a row in 2023 but procedural breaches were identified for engine makers Alpine and Honda, the governing FIA said on Wednesday. The 2023 season was the third year under cost cap restrictions for teams, who were limited to $138.6 million, and the first for power unit manufacturers as the sport moves towards a new engine in 2026.

Nacional defender Juan Izquierdo, who collapsed on the pitch after suffering an irregular heartbeat last week, has died, his Uruguayan club said on Tuesday. The 27-year-old had been undergoing medical treatment since collapsing during a Copa Libertadores game against Sao Paulo on August 22 in Brazil. “It is with the deepest sorrow and shock in our hearts that the Club Nacional announces the death of our beloved player Juan Izquierdo,” Nacional wrote on X.

Two boxers who were disqualified from last year’s World Championships for failing gender eligibility tests are eligible to compete at the Paris Olympics, the International Olympic Committee said on Monday. Algeria’s Imane Khelif was disqualified hours before her gold medal bout at the women’s World Championships in New Delhi last year after she failed to meet the International Boxing Association’s (IBA) eligibility criteria.

England will be without opening batter Zak Crawley for its three-match test series against Sri Lanka after he fractured his right little finger, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) said on Sunday as they announced their 14-member squad. Crawley, 26, picked up the problem during England’s third test win over the West Indies last month. Seamer Dillon Pennington will also be out with a hamstring injury. Middle-order batter Jordan Cox has received a first call-up to the test squad.

England white-ball captain Jos Buttler will miss The Hundred due to a calf injury, the batsman said. The 33-year-old, who took a short break after England surrendered its Twenty20 World Cup title in June, was set to lead last year’s runner-up Manchester Originals in the 100-ball competition. “Gutted to be missing The Hundred this year,” he wrote on Instagram late on Saturday. “Best of luck to Manchester Originals for the rest of the campaign.
