NYPD officers in Brooklyn on Sunday shot and wounded a man after he allegedly attacked four young girls with a meat cleaver, according to Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch. At about 10:15 a.m. an 11-year-old girl called 911 from a Bensonhurst home to report that her uncle stabbed her and her siblings, Tisch said at a news conference at the scene. The girl did not know her address, the police commissioner added, so police tracked it down using the phone she used to call them.
