QUARTERFINAL ROUND:#7 Grant County-Mott-Regent vs #2 Kenmare-BowbellsGrant County-Mott-Regent made history this year as the Jaguars won their first ever region championship as a co-op, and advanced to the state tournament for the first time in co-op history.

QUARTERFINAL ROUND:#7 Turtle Mountain vs #2 South Prairie MaxSouth Prairie-Max is looking to cap off one of its best seasons in program history. The Royals have been the number one team in Division A since the first week of the season, but were knocked off in the region semifinals by Rugby.

BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - There was a little piece of Bismarck at the World Juniors this year. Bismarck Bobcats forward Alexander Kim took on the international stage. “Playing for your country is always really special, I feel like, so it was fun,” said Kim. Kim made it to one of hockey’s premier tournaments: the World Juniors. The Bobcats forward represented his home nation, Kazakhstan. “It feels incredible,” said Kim.

BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - Standout Mandan athlete Hudsen Sheldon announced that he’s committing to U-Mary for both football and baseball. The senior took to his social media accounts to share to news. Sheldon was named the AAA West Region Senior Athlete of the Year as he helped lead his Braves to the state tournament. BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - Wilton-Wing boys basketball comes into the 2024 season with high expectations, but it’s something the Miners are embracing right away. This year’s Miner’s team returns all five starters from last year’s squad. Head Coach Scott Wolff can’t ask for much more than that. “We’re pretty senior heavy this year, juniors and seniors, we’ve got a few sophomores that will give us some time,” Wolff said. “There’s no doubt this is the year they’re going to have to get something done.

BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - The Bison are moving on. After defeating Abilene Christian 51-31, NDSU will play in the third round of the FCS Playoffs. The Bison struggled out of the gate. Abilene Christian took a 17-3 lead into the second quarter. Then, a Jackson Williams kickoff return touchdown gave NDSU the spark they needed to get back in the game, and ultimately one step closer to Frisco, Texas.
