Peter Bosustow would have loved it. Young colt Bosustow not only honoured the late Australian Rules footballer he is named after but also rocketed into Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap contention with a stunning Gold Coast Guineas win. Bosustow is named after Peter Bosustow, known as "the Buzz", who won two VFL premierships with the Carlton Blues in the 1980s and the West Australian passed away recently.

‘If we wanted to be a little bit adventurous, we could be." So says champion Queensland trainer Tony Gollan about stable star Antino as he prepares for the Hollindale Stakes which he feels could be missing genuine tempo without free-rolling Pride Of Jenni. Many initially thought Pride Of Jenni would contest the Hollindale – but that was before Ciaron Maher pulled a rabbit out of his hat and instead decided to race at Caulfield last week.
